Natasha Zraikat is an Australian artist currently based on the Gold Coast, her home of almost twenty years. Natasha recently returned from Italy where she spent time developing and displaying her work. During her year in Florence, she won Best of Show in the City – Wide Art VIII competition.
Natasha experimented with various visual art styles and studied Animation and Design as well as Fine Arts before falling in love with the painted portrait. Usually working in a large format, most often using acrylics on canvas, Natasha aims to provoke thought through the gaze and expression of the subject.
She encourages her viewers to look deeper and not just see the immediate subject, but also to consider and question the world that surrounded them in that brief moment.
